Old Seized Cars in police stations will be dump
Director-General of the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media at the Ministry of Interior Brigadier Adel Al-Hashash said
the ministry is considering renting a place to dump vehicles seized by police which at the moment occupy much of the space at the country’s police stations, reports Al-Rai daily.
Speaking to the daily, Al-Hashash said this step is being considered in view of various reasons and one of them distorts the view of the police station and also causes traffic jam. For this purpose, Al-Hashash said, a private company will be contracted to do the job.
He said no car will be released except after bringing an order from the Public Prosecutor, court or the investigation department.
When the Al-Rai daily toured the parking lot of the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station and the clinic nearby, several burnt and damaged cars were found in the parking lot of the police station.
