Kuwait Automotive Imports Co WLL (Al Shaya & Al Sagar), exclusive distributor of Mazda cars in Kuwait since 1969, proudly launched the new generation MAZDA6 in its main showroom in Al Rai, Shuwaikh on 13 May.   The unveiling ceremony took place in the presence of KAICO management, journalists and VIP guests. 

At the launch event Mr Yousef Alshaya (CEO) elaborated on Mazda`s long history and success story.  “Everyone at Mazda, deep in their hearts, has a romance with building cars and a romance with engineering”, he added.  Mr Ashish Tandon (General Manager) emphasized that Mazda engineers, by defying conventions and daring to challenge, produced the world`s best engine, namely the SKYACTIV engine.  The features of the New Mazda6 were presented by Mr Mohamed Osman (Mazda Brand Manager)  who also invited all journalists and potential customers to test drive the new vehicle and experience first-hand Mazda’s exciting new technologies.

It is indeed an honor and privilege for me to welcome all of you again after the launch of CX9 with another brand new Mazda.
We are a 77 year old company and are proud of our 44 year association with Mazda Motor Corporation, Japan.
Let me tell you a story today about a car company based in Hiroshima, a city whose people rose from the ashes nearly 70 years ago.The heart of Mazda is in Hiroshima. Mazda is a 93-year-old car company that thrived over the years due to the passion of its engineers, to always build the best.

Everyone associated with this brand, including ourselves, shares the desire to be the best. They maybe a small company but will not be outdone by bigger companies.
40 Years ago they were the only car company to succeed in commercializing rotary engines.

The name SKYACTIV has its origins in the term “The SKY is the limit” and it expresses the spirit that is driving Mazda engineers in their development work. They developed SKYACTIV with a belief in unlimited possibilities.

SKYACTIV-G 2.0/ SKYACTIV-G 2.5

High-efficiency SKYACTIV-G direct-injection petrol engines are your passport to a world of driving that is both exciting and eco-friendly, SKYACTIV-G 2.0 engines do more than just set new standards for fuel efficiency and emissions control, they also actively enhance the Zoom-Zoom performance.  To accomplish this, Mazda engineers achieved a technical breakthrough to deliver an extraordinary compression ratio of 13.0:1 while suppressing the knock usually caused by such high compression.   Taken together, the technical breakthroughs in SKYACTIV-G engines realize an astonishing increase in fuel efficiency – up to 15% – as well as more satisfying everyday driving thanks to the ample torque available at low- to mid-engine speeds. 

SKYACTIV-BODY

The SKYACTIV-BODY is engineered to achieve two conflicting aims: lighter weight with better safety performance and increased rigidity.  It`s achieved through innovative engineering, and optimized structures and materials.  In total, SKYACTIV-BODY is 30% more rigid, lighter, and able to meet the world`s most demanding crash safety tests, at the same time as giving better handling thanks to its enhanced rigidity.
