12 year old girl raped
A 12 year-old girl is said to have been raped by the 17-year old son of their neighbor in Saad Al-Abdullah area, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Father of the victim accompanied his daughter to the area police station to report the incident. He said the daughter was raped while visiting the neighbor’s house. A case was registered and the suspect was referred to Juvenile Prosecution.

This is unfortunately not the first case though everything is kept hidden. The number of cases of rape is drastic and should we really want to raise awareness, we must change people's attitude towards rape. It is not shameful and should not therefore be hidden-parents should talk to their children more and explain things that lead to such appaling act.
