300 Indian nurses provided jobs who are stranded in Kuwait
Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Civil Service Commission (CSC), has managed to provide jobs to 300 of the 588 Indian nurses who are stranded in Kuwait without a job, reports Aljarida daily.
According to sources, 48 nurses managed to leave the country to return to India while the remaining 29 nurses will be offered jobs within the coming three months. These nurses worked at Ministry of Health after completing all the medical test procedures and receiving the necessary papers to start work, but they did not receive their salaries for six months.
Minister of Health Dr Jamal Al-Harbi said he will study the report given to him by Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs and Director of Human Resources Department.
Meanwhile, Consultant of Tumors and Board Chairman of the national campaign for protection from cancer Dr Khalid Al-Saleh said 909 nurses were given special training with the cooperation of the Nursing Department along with 703 dentists with cooperation of the Dental Department.
