Three killed in Salwa
Kuwaiti killed yesterday will be laid to rest today after Asr prayer.
The Kuwaiti Amiri Court mourned the demise of Shaikh Sabah Mubarak Al-Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, who was murdered, aged 58. Another Kuwaiti citizen, aged 68, and an Indonesian woman were also found dead in a flat in the district of Salwaniya.
A report published today in Arabic newspaper Al Rai said that a masked man shot them dead and escaped with KD350,000. The police launched a manhunt to track down the killers and arrested a stateless suspect and an Iranian expatriate known only by their initials “M” and “A”.
The Iranian had reportedly confessed involvement, claiming that he only opened the door for the killer, tied and blindfolded the victims. The suspected killers slit the throat of an Indian man who managed to survive after pretending to be dead.
He scampered to the street and informed a passing citizen who alerted the security authorities which rushed instantly to the scene of the crime. The Indian man was employed by late Shaikh Sabah Mubarak Al-Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah.
The forensic experts who examined the crime scene found that the three bodies were tied and blindfolded before the killer shot them with a 9 mm pistol. The police later arrested the killer at a hotel room and transferred him to competent authorities for investigation. Meanwhile, Al Qabas newspaper said the killers are two Iranians who were caught with KD265,000.
