Referring to the traffic statistics of 2013, he revealed that the number of cars on the Kuwaiti roads has reached 1,750,000 even though Ministry of Public Works affirmed that the capacity of the roads in Kuwait is only 950,000 cars. Al-Muhanna explained that some of the main factors that lead to traffic jam in the country are people’s refusal to abide by the traffic rules and regulations, lack of sufficient parking areas for cars, and presence of government buildings and major commercial complexes in the middle of the cities and residential areas.
