I can shop with my kids , Kuwait
EKBAL Behbehani and her team organized a “Special Needs” shopping day at Jameayat al Daeyah, “I can shop with my kids”.
They had 120 special needs people from all nationalities & 65 volunteers to help them shopping. The event was sponsored by Nasrallah’s Behbehani & sons Co. By giving KWD 50 to each special needs to shop at co_op, and organised by group aldeahme & deayah co_op
Their goals were to highlight the following needs
1: let the family takes their kids out ( instead of going out with drivers or maids) for that we gave the coupon only for people with their families
2: try to change the mentality of the society to accept special needs people.
3: Train the co_op staff how to deal with the special needs.
4: special needs is not a sick person, he has to live with his disability & to be accepted the way he is by his family & society
5: it’s part of their duty to the community , that all co-ops should involved in arranging these activities
