New Al Khiran Hybrid Outlet Mall
Tamdeen Pearl, a subsidiary of Kuwait’s mixed-use property developer Tamdeen Group, has launched the 350km2 Al Khiran Hybrid Outlet Mall, which has a gross leasable area of 70km2, offering more than 300 stores, dining options, artificial intelligence and tech-themed entertainment, as well events, exhibitions, and recreational experiences.
The Al Khiran Hybrid Outlet Mall aims to serve an estimated population base of 4m in the catchment area that services most of Kuwait, the Eastern Saudi provinces, along with an additional inflow of 2.5m Saudi tourists arriving by road.
According to the company, the hybrid outlet mall will be introduced to the retail real-estate industry at the Retail Congress MENA 2019 in Dubai, annually organized by the Middle East Council for Shopping Centres and Retailers.
The project, which will provide 3,700 parking spaces, will be complimented with recreational components such as Kuwait’s largest marina with 900 berths, 1.25km of landscaped park and boardwalk, Water Gardens, and an amphitheatre holding a year-long program of events.
Commenting on the launch, chairman of Tamdeen Group, Mohammad Jassim Al Marzouq said: “Tamdeen Group is proud to be launching the first hybrid outlet concept in the region, which aims to satisfy a changing customer and growing demand for great value and heightened experiences. Our conviction in this project stems from a thorough understanding of customers’ expectations and behaviours in Kuwait along with a deep-rooted purpose of setting new benchmarks in the country’s retail real-estate industry.”
