Saudi Arabia reports 1st coronavirus death

The first death due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) was announced by Saudi health authorities Tuesday as the number of those infected went up drastically to 205, bringing the tally to a staggering 767.

A press conference for officials from the Health, Interior, and Commerce Ministries affirmed that the Kingdom was doing its best to contain the situation. The reported death today was of an Afghan national residing in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia announced yesterday that an 11-hour curfew from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. local time would take place for 21 days to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
