A Pakistani and an Indian arrested in Abu Halifa
Two unidentified expatriates were arrested in possession of a number of barrels and bottles of locally manufactured liquor in Sabah Al-Ahmad area. Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling the area based on instructions from Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa when they suspected an individual who was walking along a street.
They stopped him and demanded to see his civil ID but he ran. Securitymen chased him and saw him enter a building under construction. They went inside to find several barrels and bottles filled with locally manufactured liquor.
The suspect was arrested along with another of same nationality who was at the location. They were referred with the barrels and bottles of liquor to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, two expatriates – a Pakistani and an Indian – were arrested for gambling in front of a building in Abu Halifa area. They were referred with the gambling tools and a large sum of money, which were confiscated from the location, to the General Department for Criminal Evidences.
