Change the timetables of some schools to control the traffic
Plan to change the schedule of schools with the aim of reducing traffi c jams, reports Al-Rai daily.
He said the Undersecretary of the ministry proposed this during a meeting of the Higher Traffic Council of which he is a member. Dr Al-Fares said this experiment is the first of its kind aimed at studying the results and identifying the rate of contribution in solving the traffic congestion problem and suitability of guardians.
He indicated that there are no new requests from the General Traffic Department in terms of changing the schools’ timetable, revealing that a request in this regard was presented in the past but the ministry had rejected it.
Meanwhile, Dr Al-Fares stressed that a committee of the ministry is currently studying everything related to the high school educational system and curricula and identifying the negatives, adding that the committee has not yet completed its report.
