Citizen in possession of unlicensed weapons and ammunition
A Kuwaiti citizen, who is wanted by law for enforcing a sentence of two year imprisonment issued against him over a drug case, was arrested in possession of unlicensed weapons and ammunition such as four Kalashnikovs, six pistols and rifles as well as drugs.
According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, when General Department for Weapons Security received information about a Kuwaiti citizen in possession of unlicensed weapons and ammunition, a team headed by Lieutenant Colonel Hamad Al-Ajmi was formed by Assistant Director General for Weapons Security Colonel Waleed Shabab under the guidance of Director General for Weapons Security Brigadier Abdulrahman Al-Suhail.
After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, the suspect’s house in Sabahiya area was raided during which the officers found four Kalashnikovs, six pistols and rifles and other unlicensed weapons as well as drugs.
The suspect was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for investigations and necessary legal action against him.
