CSC delays appointment of 35 expats
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has suspended the appointment of 35 expatriates as social workers after they had completed the necessary procedures including medical tests, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting education sources. The sources pointed out the CSC refused to complete the appointment procedures.
The sources added the Ministry of Education had resorted to signing local contracts with the social workers and psychological researchers in order to fill the needs of this specialization in the absence of citizens who have refused to take the jobs because of low financial rewards.
One of the conditions of the CSC is to end the services of a number of the expatriate employees during the current academic year as part of the Kuwaitization policy.
The sources pointed out in reaction to the refusal of the Ministry of Education to the CSC request, the latter decided to stop the appointment of social workers and psychological researchers in order to put pressure on the ministry to compel it to execute the order.
