Cut salaries of employees absent for 7 consecutive days
Kuwait’s Ministry of Education (MoE) said it will cut the salaries of employees who are absent for seven consecutive days.
Assistant undersecretary for public education affairs Fatima Al-Kandari said the move is in line with existing laws and regulations, reported Arabic daily Alanba.
Al-Kandari said all educational institutions are obliged to inform the MoE of any employees who do not attend work for the specified time period according to Article 34 of the Civil Service law.
All education institutions in Kuwait were informed of the decision.
