Egyptian Driver arrested for robbing the passengers

Hawalli security operatives apprehended an Egyptian expatriate specialized in robbing members of the Asian community in the country.

An Interior Ministry press release indicated the sector received complaints from several people regarding the activities of the suspect who robbed his victims at knife point after agreeing to take them in his vehicle to their destinations for a fee.

Acting on information, the officers intensified security measure around the area where the suspect carried out his criminal acts. They managed to trace him to an apartment and arrested him. While searching the apartment, security officers recovered civil ID cards of several victims. He was referred to concerned authority.
