An Indian and two Nepali arrested in Salwa
Salwa police recently raided an apartment in Salwa and arrested three people — an Indian and two Nepali, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, the trio had turned the apartment into a mini factory to manufacture booze. The daily added, the arrest came when police saw one of the suspects carrying a bag and when he saw the police, he took to his heels.
Police chased and arrested the man and caught him inside a house where he was hiding. In the bag police found six bottles of booze. Police then raided the apartment and seized 725 bottles ready for sale, 160 jerry cans filled with the brew and alcohol manufacturing equipment. The bootleggers have been referred to the authorities.
