Many women among 80 caught in nationwide drug-related raids

In a recent security campaign ordered by the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah with the guidance of Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Dosari and Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, 80 people were rounded up countrywide for drug related offenses.

Officers from the private task force apprehended 12 people, including a Bedoun and a Kuwaiti lady in possession of illicit pills Laricka and bottles of imported liquor.

Capital securitymen also nabbed 30 people involved in various civil and criminal cases and two citizens also in possession of Laricka, while three citizens were apprehended in Ahmadi area for possessing alcohol and narcotic pills, in addition to 10 ladies wanted for financial offense alongside five expatriates violating residency law.

Also, in Farwaniya, officers arrested 17 residency violators among them three Asians caught peddling in liquor. All suspects have since been referred to concerned authorities.
