No need for coronavirus free certification
The Council of Ministers chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah suspended PCR examination procedures for travelers coming to Kuwait from 10 countries namely India, Egypt, Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan . The council also barred all government departments from taking any decision regarding coronavirus.
The Council of Ministers chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah suspended PCR examination procedures for travelers coming to Kuwait from 10 countries namely India, Egypt, Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan .
The Council discussed this at during special session, today, Thursday, the implications of the circular issued by the General Administration of Civil Aviation regarding the imposition of procedures, and given the inability to implement the procedures and checks that were mentioned in this circular for technical reasons that are not available in some countries. The Council decided to stop the circular and instructed authorities to provide alternatives process that ensures that travelers coming to Kuwait are free of coronavirus, as quickly as possible.
Kuwait Civil Aviation had issued decision earlier, that passengers coming from India, Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan need to get health certification from clinics appointed by Kuwait Embassy in their respective countries before traveling to Kuwait.
