Boy drowns while on a family holiday in Kuwait
An Emirati boy who drowned during a family holiday in Kuwait has been laid to rest in Fujairah. The family of Saif Al Hassani, 2, travelled to Kuwait last Tuesday for a holiday. They checked into a hotel apartment and at around midday, noticed their son had gone missing.
No plan to renew contract of 581 expats

Plan to raise fees of work permits and transfer of residence

Reduce work hours from 7 hrs to 6 hrs and 30 minutes
Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has asked Civil Service Commission (CSC) to exclude its employees from abiding by the official working hours for the government institutions, clarifying that the ministry employees will work for six hours and 30 minutes – from 7:30 am to 2 pm instead of 8 am to 3 pm, reports Al-Rai daily.
Studying 100 percent Kuwaitization in govt sector
Moody’s Corporation said Kuwait is eyeing a hundred percent Kuwaitization in the public sector and 30 to 60 percent in the private sector by 2028, disclosing that nationals working in the banking sector currently constitute 66 percent of the total workforce and only three percent in other sectors such as industries, manufacturing and agriculture, reports Al- Anba daily.

No Degree, No Manager
An official source at the manpower authority said an administrative circular no. 104/2018 was issued that allows residency renewals for those with the profession of “manager” but without a university degree, who have been working in this job before Jan 1, 2011 and the job was recorded in the work permit.
