Liquor factories caught in five flats in Kuwait
An Indian expatriate nicknamed ‘king of alcohol’ was apprehended by security operatives. The suspect was notorious for running liquor factories at five different flats in Farwaniya area. A security source said detectives set a trap for the suspect upon receiving a tip-off about his illegal activities and went ahead to raid one of his flats where they recovered barrels full of alcohol, in addition to 330 bottles of the contraband ready for sale.
Meanwhile, officers on a round of Sulaibiya area nabbed a Kuwaiti motorist in a hot chase and found on him a sachet containing illicit drugs. Apparently, the citizen was ordered to pull over for checking due to a traffic violation he committed but he tried to escape. The officers pursued and forced him to stop, and found illicit drug in his keep while conducting the precautionary check on him. He was referred to drug prosecution.
