Recommendation added to open main mosques with precautions and grant for salaries
MP Adel Al-Damkhi said the government is currently contemplating on re-opening markets while it extended the curfew hours, describing these decisions as contradictory.
He argued the cooperative societies have proven that they always play their vital role, especially in difficult times such as the Iraqi invasion and the current crisis.
He asserted this makes privatizing the vital cooperative sector too dangerous for national and food security. He warned that any minister who pushes for privatizing cooperative societies will be subjected to grilling.
In addition, MPs Osama Al- Shaheen and Muhammad Al- Dallal submitted the following recommendations:
■ Allow the performance of prayers in the main mosque in each area provided the number of persons is limited to three and they should strictly comply with the precautionary measures.
■ Turn on the outdoor microphones with medium volume in order to spread the special religious atmosphere during Ramadan.
■ Granting special subsidy to companies with a huge number of workers in order to enable them to pay salaries to avoid the dangerous social and security consequences of suspending the payment of salaries.
■ The Ministry of Social Affairs should grant special allowances to the beneficiaries of social allowance to help them face circumstances caused by coronavirus.
