Residence violators will be allowed to leave Kuwait without paying fines
The Ministry of Interior has decided that illegal expats (Residence violators) to leave the country without paying fines for their violation with the possibility to return back to Kuwait.
The sources said that the Ministry of Interior submitted a letter to Cabinet Ministers which states to allow the illegal expats to complete the travel procedures without obtaining approval from sponsor/company, unless the expat is wanted by the security authorities and has travel ban placed on him/her.
The sources indicated that the cabinet will issue its decision based on the recommendation made by the Ministry of Interior as per the current situation the country is going through. According to the document residence violator will not be allowed to alter their status but will be allowed to leave the country with their right to return again.
It also stated that whoever does not leave the country within the deadline set by the cabinet they will be subjected to legally established penalties and will not be authorized to reside but deported from the country and will not be allowed back into the country. Security sources stated to Al Qabas that this deadline is expected to benefit more than 200,000 illegal expats who are absconding from their work places.
