Suicide attempt by 5th standard student
Director of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Zone Mansour Al-Daihani says the case related to the suicide attempt by a fifth-standard student has been referred to the legal affairs department, reports Al-Anba daily.
He said a team from the department has started taking necessary action in this regard including visiting the school to launch investigations, revealing that social and psychological counselors have been sent to the school to study the student’s case after discovering that his educational level is good.
Al-Daihani explained that the boy behaved in that manner because his mother was transferred to a different school and he wanted to be transferred to that school.
The student protested and headed to the roof of the school building but the school administration managed to control the situation. He indicated that he will submit a full report to the Undersecretary of Public Education Sector.
