“Syed Khadar” arrested in India
The security authorities in the city of Tumkur, in the state of Karnataka arrested a person named Sayed Khadr after a complaint ws filed against him concerning human trafficking of Indian maids recruited to Kuwait from Indian state of Tamil Nadu reports Al Rai.
Sources in the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry told that it was following up the file with the Indian authorities through the Kuwaiti Embassy in New Delhi, since the accused was sending his victims to Kuwait.
A suspect by name Syed Khadar, 65yrs old, ran a racket via an international job consultancy firm he owned, he operated out of Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu reports Indian news media The Hindu.
A desperate call for help was received by a taxi driver from his neighbours who had been trafficked to Kuwait, a 30-year-old taxi driver from Hennur conducted a sting operation to identify the man responsible for luring the women and had him arrested.
According to the taxi driver, it was firm of Syed Khadar that sent his neighbours, a 24-year-old woman and her 45-year-old mother, to Kuwait by promising them an office job. “He paid for their visas in June this year,” said the police.
