500 Pakistani violators of Residency Law benefit from amnesty

Pay to stay or leave without fines
Privately-employed foreign residents, who have exceeded their permitted stay in Kuwait beyond Jan 3, 2016, after going absent from work, will be allowed to settle their penalties or leave the country without paying a fine, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.
5,000 out of 80,000 illegals leave
Acting Director-General of the General Department for Residence Affairs, Major- General Abdullah Al-Hajri said about 5,000 violators have so far taken advantage of the Amnesty and have either left the country or legalized their stay in the country from Jan 29 until Feb 4, 2018.
The process to leave the country in amnesty
To all those who want to avail the amnesty, they have to go to the embassy and bring with them six passport size photos with blue background, photocopy of their passport, Civil ID or any valid ID. The embassy has posted nine steps in the Amnesty Application Flow:

Amnesty Period – Kuwait
According to a recent report by Arab Times, quoting Al-Shahed daily “,Ministry of Interior is studying the possibility of granting grace period to expatriates who have violated the law in order for them to rectify their positions and leave the country, reports quoting informed sources” ( Arab Times Nov 4 2014).
