The Head of the Federation of Domestic Labor Offices, Khaled Al-Dakhnan, has announced a ban on bringing Filipino workers to Kuwait has been lifted, after months of meetings and negotiations between the federation and the competent authorities. Al-Dakhnan told Al- Seyassah daily it is assumed that the recruitment of Filipino workers will start from next week and Filipino embassy begins to process the workers’ contracts.

Aug 17: The Public Authority for Manpower stated that the decision to prohibit issuing work visa for those who are 60 and above for holders of high school diploma and lower will not be able to transfer residence nor renew their residence. They will have to leave Kuwait when the decision will come into effect from 2021.

Aug 17: Director of Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Ahmed Al-Mousa has issued a decision to ban granting work permits to those who have reached the age of 60 years and above, as well as holders of high school diploma or below and its equivalent. The decision will come into effect from the beginning of next year, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
