Remittance tax on Expats approved – Bill must win government approval
The parliamentary Financial and Economic Affairs Committee has approved four bills on imposing tax on remittances of expatriates, taking into account those with low income.
1% on KD 99,
2% on KD 100-200 ,
3% on KD 300-499
5 % on KD 500 and above
40 violators arrested
Officers from Public Security Sector arrested 40 violators of law during security campaigns they launched in all governorates based on instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah.

Update, the murderer of the Pakistani motorist tried to commit suicide by attempting to cut his veins, he was rushed to the hospital and additional charges were recorded.
Police have arrested a 46-year-old Kuwaiti for allegedly ‘murdering’ a 30-year-old Pakistani, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the victim, identified as Faisal, riding on a motorbike with his brother, was deliberately chased and run over by the Kuwaiti.
Two Kuwaitis sentenced to death by hanging
The Criminal Court recently sentenced two Kuwaitis to death by hanging for kidnapping and sexually molesting a female compatriot, reports Al- Anba daily. The men were also ordered to pay KD 5,001 each as temporary compensation.

Students and teachers fainted in School
Students fainted and some suffered from shortness of breath due to power failure in Al-Seif and Al- Sofor Private School in Farwaniya. The power cut occurred in the middle of the school day when seven students in the intermediate and primary levels, a school nurse and two teachers fainted due to intense heat and fear.
