Why did you marry my boyfriend?

The Criminal Court has ordered an Iranian woman to pay a fine of KD 200 and her mother KD 300 for hitting a Kuwaiti woman because she married the Iranian woman’s boyfriend.

The court referred the civil aspect of the case to the civil section. According to the case file, the Kuwaiti woman explained that she had received a call from the suspects, asking her to meet them. She had asked her friend and the latter’s husband to accompany her.

However, when they reached the agreed location, the suspects shouted at her and hit her until her friend’s husband separated them. She had sustained injuries on her nose and face.

During the court session, the plaintiff counsel Lawyer Mohammad Safar presented evidences to prove the injuries his client sustained, stressing that the defendants had admitted to hitting his client.
