14,672 Visas issued At Kuwait Airport
A total of 1,173,186 people traveled to and from Kuwait by air in August, reports Al-Anba daily quoting Director General of the General Department for Airport Security at Kuwait International Airport Major General Faisal Al-Sinen.
Giving a breakdown of the passengers according to nationality, Al-Sinen revealed the number of GCC nationals who traveled last month reached 61,453 compared to 508,003 Kuwaitis and 576,730 other nationalities.
He said the number of visas issued by the Passports Department at the airport totaled 14,672; adding 63 persons were deported, 41 were arrested for using forged passports and 11 were found to be holding passports of other people.
Meanwhile, Acting Director General of Civil Aviation Directorate Yousef Al-Fawzan declared that the fifth conference and expo on expansion of airports will be held in Kuwait on Oct 20-21, 2015 in which 12 countries will participate, reports Al-Qabas daily.
