1605 arrested and will be deported , Kuwait
Arrested 1,605 illegal residents and marginal personnel during security campaigns carried out in a week.
All those arrested will be deported upon completion of the legal procedures. These campaigns also led to the arrest of several people wanted by law for involvement in criminal and civil cases through the establishment of 812 security checkpoints in different areas. Those arrested included 33 people wanted by law for involvement in criminal cases, 91 civil cases, 20 for stealing vehicles and 45 for possession of drugs.
This is in addition to impounding 261 vehicles and issuance of 3,160 citations. Security crackdowns were carried out in Mubarak Al-Kabeer as part of the strategy laid down by the Ministry of Interior to maintain public security in all areas around the country.
In a press statement, the ministry revealed the crackdowns led to the arrest of 96 people who committed various crimes, in addition to the issuance of 55 citations and impounding of 25 vehicles for violating traffic regulations.
