18 illegals arrested from rooftop , Kuwait
Securitymen from the Capital Governorate have arrested 18 people of various nationalities who were staying in tin houses on the rooftop of residential buildings overlooking Mubarakiya, reports Al- Rai daily.
The daily added, the arrest came after police received a tip-off from undisclosed sources that people wanted by law were taking shelter on rooftops. The sources added following a check through fingerprint data, reports showed they were wanted by law in connection with various types of offences.
According to the sources a citation has been issued against the landlord of the building and threatened to cut power and water supply of residential apartments who rent out rooms on rooftops.
