200 Barrels of alcohol caught with two ladies in liquor trade
Ahmadi securitymen arrested an Indian man for trading in alcohol, says Al-Seyassah. Acting on a tip-off that the suspect is operating a local liquor factory in Sabah Al-Ahmad, Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safah formed a securitymen tasked to put the suspect under surveillance.
The team raided the suspect’s apartment after verifying the information, leading to the discovery of 200 barrels full of local alcohol, 100 bags of sugar, 50 cartons of leavening and equipment for manufacturing alcohol. During interrogation, the suspect admitted that he is manufacturing and selling local liquor.
He was referred to the concerned department for legal action. Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off the Ahmadi police raided what looked like a villa in Jaber Al-Ahmad and arrested two Asian women for manufacturing alcohol, reports Al-Anba daily.
Police have confiscated from the women large quantities of brew and alcohol manufacturing equipment.
