Bird crashes into Kuwait Airways
Kuwait Airways flight KU301 from Kuwait to Mumbai made an emergency landing after a bird crashed into the plane’s cockpit window, the airline confirmed Thursday.
The plane returned safely to Kuwait Airport and passengers were switched to an alternative aircraft to resume their flight, in accordance to international aviation safety laws, a company statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, read.
Incidents where birds crash into planes are common, however, 65 per cent of bird strikes cause superficial damage to the plane.
