Environment laws violators to be deported
As per Arabtimes, The Public Relations and Security Media Department at the Ministry of Interior has reaffirmed its commitment to strictly enforce the Environment Protection Law in compliance with the instruction of Undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahad to protect the environment.
In a press statement, the ministry revealed the Environment Police Department received a report regarding the cutting of trees and plants near the Airport Bridge in Farwaniya.
A team of officers rushed to the location and they confirmed that the environment protection regulations were violated, particularly the method of cutting trees. They also noticed that the vehicles of the company in charge of the work were parked illegally.
This resulted in the arrest of 10 employees and those proven to have violated the law were subjected to administrative deportation. Moreover, the necessary action was taken against the company in line with Article 41 of the law as it was found to have harmed the plants and its action negatively affected the scenery.
