Kuwait International Airport adopts smart parking
UPAC manages over 10,000 sqm of commercial space at Kuwait International Airport Mall offering travelers and the public 24/7 access to restaurants, coffee shops and fast food stores.
Designed to streamline traffic and reduce congestion during peak hours and travel seasons, UPAC’s system oversees all commercial space at the airport. This includes the airport mall and the car park, which comprises of 2,200 parking spaces.
UPAC’s automated parking systems comprises of two auto pay units in the airport terminal, as well as in the entry and exit areas for the long and short-term parking. The second phase also involved the creation of additional exit lanes.
Nadia Akil, CEO of UPAC , said: “We are excited to be the first company to introduce this advanced car parking technology to Kuwait. At UPAC , our priority is to manage the airport efficiently and that includes ensuring visitors have the best experience.”
Akil added: “We are extremely grateful to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation for their cooperation and support throughout the implementation process and look forward to collaborating with them again to enhance the airport in the coming future.”
