New Public Wages reforms , Kuwait
Kuwait is going to proposed a bill to set the standardize the wages as per jobs classifications to set the inflation rate. So far it includes all government entitles, oil sectors and military professions which include all security agencies and fire fighters. The initiatives will cost almost 350 Million KD in first year of implementation.
An estimated 45 per cent of public sector employees currently earn below the proposed new pay scale; their salaries will be increased by 18 per cent on average. As a result, the initial implementation year could see a moderate boost to household income and consumer spending.
As per report almost 45% employees of public sector are earning below than new proposed pay scale. Their salaries will increas by 18 percent but the employees who are already getting high salaries as per their job classification, their salaries will not be reduced but their further increment will freeze until they approach to same grades and job classification equal to their salaries. The purpose of this decision is also reduce the unfairness.

They need to raise the teaching salaries for foreign teachers Its no love Niger worth leaving the US and living in this region of the world The expat packages are not good anymore It needs to he equivalent or better to teaching salaries here before I would consider teaching in Kuwait again
