New Rule : Deportation for unqualified drivers as per current profession
As per Arabtimes, Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs at the Ministry of the Interior Major-General Abdullah Al-Muhanna said according to the instructions issued by the Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khalid persons caught without driving licence will be deported from the country immediately, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily said this decision also applies to those who had acquired the driving licence on the strength on their professions which qualify the applicant to own a driving licence.
However, if the holder of the licence changes his/her profession which does not qualify him/her to hold a driving licence, it will be automatically cancelled from the system. Such persons if they are caught driving they too will be deported.
He explained if a license was issued for an expatriate teacher who later changed the profession to a salesman the Interior Ministry shall automatically cancel the licence and if the person is caught driving he/she will be immediately deported.
