Philippino falls off apartment in Kuwait
An overseas Filipina worker (OFW) was hospitalized after falling off the fourth floor of an apartment building in Kuwait. Melrose Balagosa, 25, is in the intesive care unit of a hospital in Kuwait after her fall.
She started working as a domestic helper in October 2014 to support her family and two children.
Balagosa’s family, who lives in San Enrique, Iloilo, learned about what happened on Wednesday.
The family is hoping that Melrose will recover, given that her head was spared in the incident. They are also hoping that their daughter can be sent home, with the help of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). – report from Jenel Baclay, ABS-CBN News Iloilo
