Singaporean caught with 200000 fake Kuwait Dinars
A Singaporean visitor was found to be in possession of 200,000 Kuwaiti dinars in counterfeit money,
Dubai Criminal Court has heard. On November 30 last year, SS, 38, was arrested near Al Bustan Shopping Centre after a police tip off.
“He told us he brought [the notes] from Bangkok,” said policeman OM, 30, an Emirati.
The defendant confessed during prosecution interrogations that he planned to deliver the money to a contact in Dubai in return for US $10,000. In court on Tuesday morning, he denied a charge of possessing fake money. A verdict is expected later this month.
