USA asked Kuwait to review Kuwait Airport security without delay
The United States of America and Britain have requested Kuwait to review the security controls implemented in Kuwait International Airport without delay, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.
They explained that the intelligence agencies of those countries have advised their Kuwaiti counterpart to take necessary precautions inside the airport because of some loopholes that must be addressed immediately.
According to these agencies, half of the Kuwaiti airport is significantly threatened due to lack of security measures from the gates of entry to the baggage area as well as the weakness of the monitoring system with the use of outdated cameras that are not useful in consideration of the current situation.
Based on the warnings, the sources said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) took the decision to replace surveillance system with a new one, based on the security and safety plan developed by DGCA to ensure airport security.
